A price level is a defined price for the goods or services sold by your company and listed in your Accounting System.  In Mobileezy you can define up to 30 different price levels for your products and then assign these price level to your customers, thereby giving your customers a different level price for your products.  You might use price levels if you have different types of customers, such as retail, wholesale and export and for each of those customer types a different price list is applicable.

Price level setup is completed under the Pricing > Item Price Levels tab and can be viewed under the Customer and Item pricing tabs.   Price levels setup under these tabs will be automatically sent to the handhelds when the Mobileezy Handheld Application is synchronised.

Mobileezy provides you with up to 30 additional pricing levels from those in your Accounting System.

Setting up Price Levels        Setting up Price Levels

Price levels are setup under the Pricing > Item Price Levels tab.

The Item Price Levels tab displays a list of all items available from your accounting software, along with 30 pricing levels for each item. Here it is possible to modify each price level for each item. The base selling price, and the price levels that are displayed with letters (Level A, Level B etc) are set from within your accounting software and cannot be edited in Mobileezy. The price levels displayed with numbers (Level 7, Level 8, Level 9 etc) are modified directly from this window.

Simply click on the item whose price you wish to modify in the left hand window and then enter the new price for the price level in the field in the right hand window.

Note: The standard pricing levels are different for each accounting package. For example MYOB AccountRight Premier and MYOB AccountRight Premier Enterprise has Level A to Level F. This page may take a long time to load the first time if you have a large amount of items.

Assigning Price Levels to Customers        Assigning Price Levels to Customers

Price levels are assigned to customers under the Pricing > Customer Price Levels tab.  To assign a price level to the customer, simply select the appropriate price level for the customer from the drop down list adjacent to their name.

Price levels can also be assigned to the customer under the Customer tab.

Price Levels with MYOB        Price Levels with MYOB

There are 3 options for price level setup If your Accounting System is MYOB.  You have the option of either using MYOB, Mobileezy or a combination of both systems to manage your price levels.

Using MYOB

Using MYOB to manage customer price levels, will bring customer price levels and pricing directly from MYOB into Mobileezy.  You will not be able to edit or adjust customer price levels from within Mobileezy, as the Item Price Level and Customer Price Levels tabs will be hidden from view.

To set this up:

1.Go to Setup > System settings and turn on the Advanced Settings view
2.Set Use mobileezy Price Levels to BackendOnly

Pricing_Price Levels_Use Backend Price Levels

3.Run the datalink.

Using Mobileezy

If you choose to use Mobileezy to manage customer price levels, any setup completed in MYOB will not be imported into the software and price levels A through F will become editable in the Item Price Levels tab.

To set this up:

1.Go to Setup > System settings and turn on the Advanced Settings view
2.Set Use mobileezy Price Levels to MobileezyOnly

Pricing_Price Levels_Use Mobileezy Price Levels

3.Go to Setup > Datalink > Datalink Setup and on the Advanced tab tick the Do not bring across MYOB pricing checkbox

4.Run the datalink

Using a Combination

A combination of both MYOB and Mobileezy can be used to manage your price levels.  In this case, pricing for price levels A through to F are setup in MYOB and will be imported when the datalink is run, these price levels will not be editable in the Item Price Levels tab.

To set this up:

1.Go to Setup > System settings and turn on the Advanced Settings view
2.Set Use mobileezy Price Levels to Combination

3.Go to Setup > Datalink > Datalink Setup and on the Advanced tab untick the Do not bring across MYOB pricing checkbox

Pricing_Price Levels_Do not bring across MYOB pricing (unticked)

4.Run the datalink

Note:  When using the combination method, price levels A through to F must be managed through MYOB.  If a customer has a price level assigned in MYOB and this is changed to any of the other letter price levels in Mobileezy, when the datalink is run, the price level will automatically revert to that defined in MYOB.  However, if a customer has a price level assigned in MYOB and this is changed to any of the numerical price levels in Mobileezy, the price level will no revert to that defined in MYOB when the datalink is run.

Price Levels with Reckon Accounts        Price Levels with Reckon Accounts

If your  Accounting System is Reckon Accounts and you plan to use price levels, you will need to decide which system you will use to maintain the price levels.  Mobileezy can import customer price levels directly from Reckon Accounts, however this requires altering a datalink setting that will remove the ability to set price levels in the Desktop Administrator.

To use import price levels from Reckon Accounts: go to Setup > Datalink and press the Datalink Setup button.  Untick the option Use mobileezy Price Levels and press OK.  Then run the datalink to import the price levels into Mobileezy.
