While most settings are accessed via the Desktop Administrator there are a few settings that can only be configured on the Mobileezy Handheld Software.  These are accessed via the handheld preferences menu and must be configured on each handheld device individually, they cannot be administered from the Desktop Administrator.  These settings include printer settings, handheld report settings and transaction archive period amongst others.

Some settings can only be configured on the individual handheld.  These are accessed via the handheld preferences menu.

Setting the Archive  Period        The Archive  Period

The archive period is the period of time that transactions are stored on the handheld device.  There are seven options in the time period selection, ranging from None through to 1 year.  If the archive period is set to None, all transactions in the Done or Void status will be sent to the Desktop Administrator and removed from the handheld upon synchronisation.  Any transactions that are in a status of WIP will be stored on the handheld regardless of the archive period.

To set the archive period, access the handheld preferences and select the desired archive period from the drop down list.  If you are increasing the archive period you will also need to tick the force repopulation box and then synchronise the device to update the handheld with historical transaction data.
