It is important that you do regular backups of your Mobileezy database in order to protect yourself against possible data loss.  A loss or corruption of the database will mean that you will lose historical data; system and profile settings; and that your handhelds will be unable to sync.  If you are doing regular backups of your file system, it is likely that your database is already part of a back-up cycle, however it is a good idea to check this.

Taking a backup of the database is a simple process of copying the database file to a backup location.

Before you start: Close the Desktop Administrator and all copies of Desktop Order Entry System and ensure that no handhelds will be synchronising during the backup.

1.Browse to the database location.  By default this is C://ProgramData/Mobileezy v7/Mobileezy.mdb.  If your database is in a different location, this can be found by going to the Setup tab and viewing the database location displayed as a filepath at the bottom of the screen.
2.Right click on the file with file extension .mdb, select copy and then paste to the backup location.

Note:  If there are files with extension .ldb, this indicates that the database is in use.  Check that all copies of Mobileezy are closed and then try again.
