Each Mobileezy handheld device must be connected to the Desktop Administrator in order for synchronisation of data to occur.  Connection can be completed manually or via an automatically generated Connection ID.

Connecting the devices using a connection ID is a simple process that will avoid the need to enter an IP address, configure the router or a firewall.

When to Connect the Handheld devices        When to Connect Handheld Devices to Desktop Administrator.

This step must be completed every time you need to setup the connection of a new Handheld Device to the Desktop Administrator.  Except in rare circumstances, this will only be completed once for each device.  Some examples of when you will complete this step are:

New Installation: On initial installation, after installing the Mobileezy Handheld Application
New User: When a new user is added to your user count
Lost Handheld: If a handheld device is lost or broken and the Mobileezy Handheld Application is installed on a new device.

Tap the Cancel Button
2.Enter the relevent IP address in the field (next to the Add button) and press the add button to add the address to the server addresses field.  It is possible to have multiple IP addresses in the handheld server address field to allow synchonisation via different methods.
For Wif-Fi syncronsiation, enter the IP address of the computer that is running the Sync Server.
For 3G syncronisation, enter the public IP address for the your company.  3G Sync will also require you to set up port forwarding on your wifi router and you will require a static IP address.  Contact your ISP to arrange this.

Note:  A static public IP address is required to ensure that the entered IP address does not change.  If your companies' public IP address is dynamic, it may change without your knowledge and cause the synchronisation to fail.  You will then need to find your public IP Address again and update it in the handheld server setup.

3.Enter the username of the handheld you want to connect and then press the Ok button.
